Detailed Walking Directions

From the Flynn Cruiseport Terminal to the Water Taxi Pickup location: (please see the map above for visual reference)

  1. Once you process off the ship and through the Cruise Terminal Building you will need to get back onto the water side of the terminal to get aboard the water taxi.

  2. Exit the building and turn left.  Go to the end of the building, past the parking lot and take another left back towards the where your cruise ship is docked.

  3. You will see a bridge crossing the channel, follow the road, keeping the channel on your left down the point just before you get to the road crossing the channel. You will see some police boats at the dock below and a black gate at the entrance to the dock. this is the correct area. We pickup directly ahead of the police boats on the dock at the base of the ramp.

  4. Please remain up on shore until a member of our staff has come to bring you onto the boat. Please do not proceed down onto the dock until that time. We ask that you wait under the large bright blue awning that says Cathleen Stone Island/Outward Bound that is directly behind the gate to the dock.

Please note: We are graciously allowed use of this dock for this service by Cathleen Stone Island/Outward Bound. They use this area for their boarding as well, and we ask that our customers be mindful of their operations and stand clear of the area while they are loading/unloading. By your remaining under the covered area, it ensures unimpeded access for their operations.

This information will be provided in your ticket confirmation email, so you will have it at your fingertips when disembarking.

Please note the following details regarding these tickets:

This ticket allows the holder to board our water taxi shuttle at Flynn Cruiseport Terminal upon disembarking their cruise ship. We will shuttle passengers on a set schedule from the terminal to Rowes Wharf for their luggage storage. Passengers will make their reservation for the shuttle to Logan Airport once aboard the boat to Rowes Wharf. We will make trips to Logan Airport at the top of each hour. We recommend allowing 45 minutes for transit from Rowes Wharf to your Logan Airport Terminal Door. The water taxi ride to the airport stop is less than 15 minutes. You will be transported directly by the on-airport shuttle bus from our water taxi stop at Logan to your terminal door. This shuttle bus is free and takes about 15 minutes to complete its loop. This shuttle stops at the water taxi pick up location every 15 minutes.

When purchasing this ticket you will be required to select which shuttle from the cruise ship terminal you will be boarding. We offer a range of daily pickup times, please pick the time that aligns closest to your disembarkation from the cruise ship. Do not over think this part of the process. We understand delays happen when disembarking and it is difficult to know with certainty when you will off the ship. If you are unable to make your scheduled pick up, we will simply roll your ticket to our next available time. If you have a confirmed ticket, we will make sure we collect you. Please make sure to list your cell phone number when purchasing tickets, we will attempt to reach you if there are any issues.

Special Note for passengers with mobility limits:

Please keep in mind that this option for transportation does have some mobility limits. The docks that we board from are subject to tidal fluctuations. The ramps leading to and from the docks can have a very steep incline or decline depending on the current tide level of Boston. If you or someone in your party has difficulty walking distance or stepping up or down into boats, this may not be a good fit. The walk from the cruise ship to the water taxi dock is approximately 1/3 mile. It is flat and paved, but you will be required to haul your luggage with you to the dock. If you have specific concerns, please email info@bostonwatertaxi.com for more information.
